Date: Monday, 25 APRIL 2016
Location: Room 113 Founders Hall, George Mason University, Arlington VA

Our current, challenging building environment includes many issues like resilience, sustainability, triple bottom line, and life cycle maintenance which go beyond our basic, code-based design requirements. Also consider that just as we are still using 100 year old infrastructure, the infrastructure we design and build today will still be in use in 2100, and beyond. This forum will investigate the perspectives of academia, facilities owners, A/E firms, and government on designing and building for these competing requirements and support our aspirations to design and build infrastructure that works today, survives disasters, and causes our great, great grandchildren to say, “Those old folks really were smart!”
