CIP Program Director John McCarthy spoke about the history of U.S. awareness and investment in critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP), including the U.S. government's current role in research and development. Mr. McCarthy addressed problems in CIIP today and identified specific R&D issues, including who should invest in CIIP R&D, and what we should be investing in.
