CONFERENCE ON THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF TERRORISM

May 24-25, 2005

In order to successfully combat terrorist activities, it is necessary to fully understand all underlying forces and motivations impacting upon the actions and decisions taken by terrorists and terrorist organizations. This conference targeted the political economic underpinnings of terrorist activity and seeked to shed light on how such operations are funded and thereby implemented throughout the world. The conference was a two day event in which researchers presented the findings of work carried out within this field.
