Dennis Pitman serves as the primary Research Associate with the Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security at George Mason University. He provides legal and policy research expertise to CIP/HS sponsored programs and contracts, as well as administrative and business development for current and upcoming projects. Mr. Pitman is also the editor for The CIP Report, the CIP/HS online publication sharing expert commentary from the field of critical infrastructure. Mr. Pitman is a licensed attorney of the Virginia State Bar and member of the American Bar Association. He graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University School of Law in 2013 and was a member of the George Mason Civil Rights Law Journal. Aside from homeland security law, Mr. Pitman’s areas of concentration include privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity law, and the constitution. Prior to studying law, Mr. Pitman earned a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University.
